Part-time Research Assistant - Data analyis - in Bachelor/Master's degree
1. Estimation of freedom of choice
The project uses a dataset of purchasing decisions of households (Nielsen Data) to estimate the freedom of choice over consumption goods these households have. As a research assistant on this project, you will program estimators, prepare data for analysis, and work with microeconomic models of consumer choice. You will gain insight into consumer choice behavior and learn skills associated both with data analysis and with microeconomic modelling.
It is also possible to put greater emphasis on economic modelling of consumer choice. This requires a strong background in economic theory or mathematics.
2. Other research questions
It is possible to transition into a Master's thesis or other research questions. For example, if you are a first year Master's student you may want to continue working on consumer data in the second year and write a Master's thesis on either your own research question or with a research question provided to you.
1. Student of the Economics, Mathematics or Statistics departments
2. Past experience with data analysis (R or Stata)

Flexible hours and duration. 40 hours per week maximum. From the actual date of employment to summer 2019.
For undergraduate students: up to 10,000 TWD
For master students: up to 16,000 TWD
